Our History

Dogs have supported blind people from antiquity. After the First World War, the first schools were set up to train guide dogs because so many people had been blinded by the war.

Our anniversary book takes you on a journey through time, from the beginnings of the “Waldheim” to the modern school of today. Over 200 photos demonstrate how the guide dogs sector has changed since the 1970s – available in our Shop in German, French and Italian.
