With the assistance of a dog 50 years ago, a handful of people founded the Swiss School for Guide Dogs in Allschwil. The then pioneer organization around the initiator Walter Rupp became a school with four divisions - guide dogs for the blind, social support dogs, assistance and autism service dogs.
