Bulletin in German/French: “Der Blindenführhund”
(= “The guide dog for the blind”)

Twice a year, the school publishes a bulletin containing updates on its activities. You can subscribe to this brochure free of charge, just by giving your address to the Swiss School for Guide Dogs for the Blind.

You can also ask for information material for lectures.

5th OPEN HOUSE Sunday, 5th September 2010

We are happy to welcome you and your family at our school and show you our work! The school will be open for you 10:00-16:00 h. PROGRAM At 10:45, 13:45 and 15:00 h «Avanti. Brava.», the film about our school. A documentary on the formation of a Guide Dog for the Blind At 11:30, 13:00 and 14:30 h demonstrations with some of our Guide Dogs at different stages of their training. And in between: • Our dogs: at play or work • Aids for blind and visually impaired people: Braille typwriter, harnesses, relief models • a variety of promotional materialsfor sale • catering on the premises Guest: Sandra Weber, illustrator of the childrens' book «Tarik and Tanja», paints with acrylic on canvas. Please use public transportation. There are few parking spaces available. From the main Station Basel SBB: Tram Nr. 1 to «Brausebad», transfer to Tram Nr. 6 to the final stop «Allschwil Dorf» then walk 20 minutes along the Mühlibach and the beautiful Allschwilerwald! Welcome to our school! We are looking forward to seeing you.
