Dogs helping People

we breed, train, supply and care for

guide dogs, assistance dogs, autism dogs

guide dog in training

The Foundation Swiss School for Guide Dogs for the Blind in Allschwil has been training guide dogs since 1972 and supports the blind or seeing impaired handler and his dog free of charge for life. Since 2012 we are also training assistance dogs and autism service dogs. Moreover, we have been offering training for social dog teams for many years.

Currently more than 160 guide dogs from our school are helping their guide dog handlers, 5 assistance dogs accompany their handlers in wheelchairs and 2 autism service dogs help families with autistic children. In addition, there are 110 social dog teams who regularly volunteer at schools, care homes, hospitals, remedial schools and institutions for people with disabilities, etc.

Our mission is to help as many people as possible by providing a well-trained and healthy canine to achieve greater mobility, independence and improved quality of life.
